A specific category of chemical substances is diisocyanates<\/strong>, which are used in widely distributed products such as sealants, coatings, adhesives, paints, and polyurethane foams, making them relevant across various industries, with construction and automotive leading the list. Prolonged exposure to diisocyanates is highly hazardous as it can cause harmful effects on the respiratory system and skin. For this reason, Regulation (EU) 2020\/1149<\/strong> introduced restrictions for the safe use of diisocyanates in the EU market, limiting their use to workers who have completed and successfully passed the training specified in Restriction Entry 74, Annex XVII, of the REACH Regulation<\/strong><\/a>, for both industrial and professional applications.<\/p>\r\n

A supplier of a product containing diisocyanates, whether a manufacturer or distributor, is subject to sales restrictions, requiring them to demonstrate that they have informed their customers, whether professional or industrial users, about how they can access educational materials and participate in training courses in the official language of the Member State where the products are marketed. In Italy, training courses must comply with the legal requirements outlined in Legislative Decree No. 81\/2008,<\/strong><\/a> which regulates mandatory training on health and safety in the workplace.<\/p>\r\n
