The main legislative reference are <strong>Directive 2009\/48\/EC<\/strong> and the <strong>UNI EN 71-1\/2\/3<\/strong> standards. The former, known as the &#8220;Toy Directive,&#8221; sets out the general safety requirements that all toys must meet before being placed on the EU market and imposes specific obligations on Manufacturers, Importers, and Distributors, such as the requirement for CE Marking. The UNI standards complement the directive by addressing hazards related to physical, chemical, and mechanical risks. These standards focus on specific safety criteria such as durability, small parts that could cause choking, sharp edges, flammability of materials used, and the migration of chemical substances like lead, cadmium, and other heavy metals that could be ingested, leading to potential hazards.<\/p>\r\n<p>In this context, targeted expert consulting is essential. At Flashpoint, we perform<strong> Conformity Assessments<\/strong>, starting with support for conducting tests and material analyses, and the <strong>preparation of Technical Documentation<\/strong>, such as the <strong>CE Declaration of Conformity<\/strong>, which is critical to demonstrate the toy&#8217;s compliance with applicable regulations.<\/p>\r\n<p>We provide consultancy for the correct application of <strong>CE Marking<\/strong>, guidance on <strong>Risk Management<\/strong> associated with toys, including risks related to hazardous chemical substances and the migration of chemical elements to ensure that toys do not release harmful substances.
