Articoli: nuovo database in arrivo

ECHA sta lavorando alla creazione di un nuovo database per gli articoli contenenti SVHC. Il nuovo database SCIP conterrà informazioni sulle sostanze problematiche negli articoli, in quanto tali o in oggetti complessi (prodotti) e sarà disponibile, in versione prova, a partire dal gennaio 2020. Le aziende che immettono articoli sul mercato dell’UE dovranno presentare notifiche dal 5 gennaio 2021. In particolare, i fornitori di articoli dovranno fornire:

  • informazioni che consentano di identificare l’articolo;
  • il nome, l’intervallo di concentrazione e la “posizione” dell’SVHC nell’articolo; e
  • eventualmente altre informazioni sull’uso sicuro dell’articolo.

Il database SCIP fornirà agli operatori dei rifiuti informazioni sulle sostanze pericolose nei rifiuti che trattano in modo che i flussi di materiale possano essere potenzialmente “puliti” prima di essere riciclati e riutilizzati nella produzione di nuovi articoli per garantire un’economia circolare vera e sicura.
Inoltre, la maggiore trasparenza sulla presenza di sostanze pericolose aiuterà i consumatori a fare scelte più informate al momento dell’acquisto dei prodotti e fornirà informazioni su come utilizzare e smaltire al meglio tali articoli.

ECHA ricorda alle aziende di valutare se la propria catena di approvvigionamento sarà o meno impattata dal ritiro del Regno Unito (UK) dall’Unione Europea che è atteso per il 31/10/2019. Se la vostra azienda acquista o vende in UK è fondamentale agire subito per non rischiare di dover interrompere le attività.

Si segnala che è aperta fino al 09/10/2019 la consultazione su 46 domande di autorizzazione.

Consultazione pubblica su identificazione di sostanze estremamente preoccupanti

E’ stata avviata una consultazione pubblica sulla proposta di identificare come sostanze estremamente preoccupanti (SVHC) le sostanze in tabella seguente.
Se identificate come SVHC, le sostanze saranno aggiunte all’elenco di sostanze candidate per l’inclusione nell’elenco delle sostanze soggette ad autorizzazione (Allegato XIV REACH).
